She walked in with a mission: find great everyday bras for herself and her two daughters. Jennifer arrived with her younger daughter Mandy in tow—and her other daughter, Brianna, calling in live from wherever her day had taken her. The energy was warm and a little wonderful, the kind of fitting that feels more like a family reunion than an errand.
Before anything else, we made sure everyone felt comfortable. Fittings can feel vulnerable, but when it's a shared experience between a mother and her daughters, there's an ease that turns the whole thing into a conversation. We started with Jennifer and Mandy, who were both in the store, and promised Brianna we'd get to her next.
Jennifer had a general sense of her size but, like most clients, had been working from habit rather than confirmation. Once properly fitted, she landed in a 34C—a clean, supportive size that finally gave her the shape and coverage she'd been looking for without any of the compensating she didn't know she was doing. Mandy, her younger daughter, was newer to the process. Working through a few styles together, we found her a 32B: trim, secure, with no gapping and no digging. She was surprised by how different the right fit actually felt.
Then came Brianna. Fitting someone over the phone takes a different kind of care—guided measurements, the right questions, and a willingness to work through it step by step. By asking her to measure at home and walking through how her current bras were fitting (or weren't), we were able to bring her to an approximate size of 32G. Extended cup sizes go undetected more often than most people realize. Many women in the fuller range quietly assume their options are limited and stop looking. Brianna's fitting opened up a whole new world of options, and she could hear the difference just describing how things had been fitting versus how they should.
All three left with at least three styles each—and every one of them walked out with the Victoire Plunge Bra in Blush. It's one of our best everyday styles for a reason: the plunge works across nearly any neckline, the fit is precise across a wide range of sizes, and that blush shade is as universally flattering as it gets. Three different sizes, same favorite bra. That's what a great fitting day looks like.
Expert Tip: Don't assume your size is fixed—across brands, styles, or even seasons. If you haven't had a professional fitting in a while, you may be surprised how much a single measurement can change the way your clothes feel. And if you can't make it into a store, don't let that stop you. A virtual fitting can get you surprisingly close to your true size.
