Wolford Hosiery
Curated by Journelle
Wolford was founded in 1950 in Bregenz, Austria, originally as a hosiery maker, and is still best known as one of the references for fine legwear in the world. The brand's history with knit construction shapes everything else they make — bodysuits, leggings, slips, and the small lingerie line all carry the same precise stitch density and seamless finishing the legwear is famous for.
About Wolford at Journelle
The aesthetic is minimal and modern: clean lines, restrained palettes, a focus on how the fabric moves with the body rather than ornament applied to it. The label produces hosiery in extensive denier and pattern variations, plus knit bodysuits, slips, and base layers. Sizing follows European conventions across both apparel and hosiery.
From the fitting room: Wolford's hosiery wears longer than anything else we carry — the construction is dense enough that a single pair can outlast five from a typical brand. The bodysuits are some of the few we recommend wearing as outerwear under fitted tailoring; the seams don't read under clothing. Hand-wash or use a delicate-cycle bag to preserve the knit; do not tumble-dry.
