Aubade Lingerie & Underwear | Curated by Journelle
Aubade has been making lingerie in Paris since 1958. Six decades on, the brand still operates on the same craft fundamentals: French lace produced on heritage looms, hand-finished embroidery, and a fit philosophy that treats the bra as a precision-made object — one of the references for what well-made French lingerie is supposed to feel like.
About Aubade at Journelle
The aesthetic is classically French: structured cups, balconette silhouettes that lift without compressing, lace that reads as ornament rather than camouflage. Aubade makes underwire bras, balconettes, plunges, and matching briefs and suspenders, with sizing extending across European cup and band conventions. The pieces are designed to be worn for years rather than seasons.
From the fitting room: Aubade's underwire bras are cut on the higher side under the arm than American brands — if you find typical underwires dig into the side of the breast tissue, the cut here often resolves it. The bands run snug at first wear and relax into true fit over the first few wears. We recommend hand-washing the lace styles to preserve the patterning.
