From the fitting room: garters depend on the stocking they pair with as much as on the garter itself — a stocking with a stretchy welt holds the garter in place better than one with a fixed welt. If a garter slides during fitting, it will slide during wear; size down or pair with a stocking that has a stretchier top. Hand-wash to preserve the embellishment.
