The Concept

Journelle is a new breed of lingerie store, designed for sophisticated women who share a taste for beautiful, quality underthings. Launched in 2007, Journelle quickly became one of the world's top lingerie stores, earning highest honors from Zagat and becoming a destination for lingerie lovers near and far.  We are especially proud of our serene store environment, our tastefully curated lingerie selection and our warm, witty team of lingerie conoisseurs.

The Founder

Claire Chambers, 29, is the founder and CEO of Journelle.  After a successful career in management consulting, Claire’s love of lingerie and entrepreneurial spirit led her to the fragmented lingerie retail market.  Passionate about bringing the momentum and excitement of fashion to the lingerie world, Claire has been featured as an expert on InStyle, Nylon and ‘Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style.’  In 2008, she was ranked on Inc.com’s “30 under 30” list of entrepreneurs.  Claire lives and works in Manhattan, where she dreams of someday having a closet large enough for all her lingerie.  Follow Claire's adventures on twitter.
